I had an AT&T landline from Aug. 2008 to April 2010. In April of 2010 I called AT&T to cancel my residential phone service because I was moving at the end of that month. Apparently, I was in the middle of a billing cycle and still owed a final payment to AT&T. I was not aware of this. In Dec. of 2010 we became AT&T customers again, when my husband and I each got an AT&T wireless phone, signed a 2 year contract, and set up our payments to be paid automatically each month. I was still not told at this time that I owed AT&T an outstanding bill from April of 2010. Then yesterday I called my bank about getting a mortgage loan and when they pulled my credit score it showed that my score dropped 100 points in the last year and the only ding against my credit was a $72 bill to AT&T. I am happy to pay this payment, I never received a bill, however, probably because the bill was mailed to my old address. In addition to paying this bill I would like to have the credit score issue resolved. I have been emailing and calling AT&T for 2 days and I have yet to find anyone at AT&T who is willing or able to resolve this issue.
